First, the introduction of international CB certification
The IECEE-CB system is a global mutual recognition system for the safety test results of electrical products established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Accreditation Testing and Certification Organization (IECEE). The purpose is to reduce the need to meet the certification or approval criteria of different countries. International trade barriers. The CB system complies with the IEC safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards for relevant electrical and electronic equipment approved by IECEE, and realizes mutual recognition of the test results of 19 categories of electrical products including batteries, household appliances, information electrical equipment, and medical electrical equipment.
Second, the importance of battery CB certification
The CB certificate provides evidence that a representative sample of the product has successfully passed the test, indicating that it meets the requirements of the relevant IEC standard. The CB certificate and the corresponding CB test report together form a passport. The manufacturer can apply for global certification of any national certification body participating in the CB system country or region. Usually, the re-sampling test can be waived or reduced. Carry out additional tests, greatly shorten the cycle of product entering the market, reduce costs and accelerate product exports. If you want to enter some national markets that do not have their own certification to sell battery products, you can use CB certification to indicate that the product has obtained international certification or approval.

Sixth, battery CB certification considerations
1. Regarding the application for the CB test certificate, the following points should be noted:
(1) An application for a CB test certificate may be submitted by the applicant to any “certification/approval” NCB covering the scope of the product.
(2) The applicant may be either a manufacturer or an entity authorized to represent the manufacturer.
(3) An application may include one or more factories that produce products in one or more countries.
(4) Applicants/manufacturers/factories located in countries without IECEE member institutions are required to pay an additional fee for each CB test certificate to compensate for the operating costs of the system. This fee is charged by the NCB that accepts the CB test certificate application and will be credited to the IECEE account.
(5) The applicant may request the NCB to test the product based on the country's national differences in the country of sale.
2. The manufacturer's product certification to obtain the target market includes the following procedures:
(1) Submit an application to the NCB of the target country;
(2) CB test certificate;
(3) CB test report (which may include country differences);
(4) When the NCB of the target market requires it, provide a sample of the product.
The purpose of the sample was to verify that the product was consistent with the original NCB test product and that it had covered national differences.
3. National differences
A country difference is the difference between a country's standards or regulations and the corresponding international standards. All national differences in countries joining the CB system are submitted to the IECEE Secretariat and published in the CB Bulletin.
4.CB does not need factory inspection
Seven, battery CB testing and certification application steps
1. Determine customer information;
2. Fill in the CB application form;
3. Provide battery specifications and other information.
The second step:
Determine the test time and corresponding fees based on the information provided.
After confirming the quotation, the applicant signs the application form and service agreement and pays the project fee.
the fourth step:
The customer sends the sample.
the fifth step:
The ESTL laboratory conducts CB certification testing on the applied products according to the relevant testing standards.
The sixth step:
The test passed and the CB report was completed.
Submit the report to the certification body (NCB) and issue a CB certificate after passing the examination.
Eight, battery CB certification body
ESTL Lab is a global certification testing service provider focusing on battery products. It is a third-party certification testing agency dedicated to obtaining domestic and international certification for Chinese companies. ESCI Corporation ANCI is a CB testing laboratory approved by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IECEE). UL's CBTL laboratory can provide related testing services according to the CB system procedures.
After the battery CB test and report is completed, you only need to submit your CB certificate and test report to the national certification body (NCB) of the country or region that has joined the CB system for the record. No additional testing is required. ESTL is your preferred partner for applying for CB certification testing of your battery products.
