Lithium-ion batteries are classified by size, with specific tolerance requirements:

Pouch batteries:

Thickness (a):
- ≤2mm: ±0.1mm
- 2~5mm: ±5%
- 5~25mm: ±0.25mm
- 25mm: ±1%
Length/Width (b):
- ≤20mm: ±0.5mm
- 20~40mm: ±2.5%
- 40~100mm: ±1mm
- 100mm: ±1%

Other battery types:

≤1mm: ±0.05mm
1~25mm: ±0.1mm
25mm: ±0.5%

Challenge 2: Key Material Consistency

Positive/negative electrode materials, separators, and electrolytes are critical for safety. Within the same battery:

Materials must remain consistent
Reported materials must match specifications exactly
Mixing ratios must be clearly indicated

Material changes require:

Change application submission
Certification body notification
Complete re-testing

Challenge 3: Parameter Matching Requirements

Battery pack parameters must not exceed cell parameters, especially:

Battery discharge cut-off voltage ≤ pack undervoltage protection minimum

Challenge 4: Pouch Battery Thickness Rules

CCC certification specifies only a maximum thickness (4mm) for pouch batteries, but companies should also define a minimum thickness to meet requirements.
