The UN38.3 test report does not have an official expiration date. As long as the battery design and regulations remain unchanged, the report remains valid. However, in practical applications, the following points should be noted:
Air/Sea Shipping Certificates/MSDS Reports: They need to be updated annually and are valid until December 31 of the current year.
Requirements of platforms such as TEMU: Usually, only UN38.3 reports issued within the last two years are accepted to ensure compliance with the latest standards.
Special regulations in China: When exporting, the latest version of the UN manual for the current year (e.g., Rev.8 for 2025) must be indicated.
It is recommended to regularly review product designs and regulatory updates, and promptly update relevant documents to meet transportation or platform compliance requirements.
