Annual Update Important Notice for UN38.3 Reports
I. Requirements for ESTL Laboratory Reports
(1) To update the air and sea transportation certificates, the lithium battery report certificate update form (this form is only applicable for updating the DGM certificates) must be used. At the same time, the form, the complete set of UN reports, and the air and sea consignment form should all be provided to the corresponding window for case processing and queuing.
(2) Report updates will be processed in the order of case processing. The order of case processing cannot be changed randomly within the laboratory. However, if the client has urgent or other special service requirements, it can be noted in the email.
II. Handling of Reports Issued by Non-ESTL Laboratories
(1) The original test reports issued by laboratories recognized by DGM must correspond to the report version and must be stamped with CNAS.
(2) Application form;
(3) Packaging materials;
(4) Comparison samples.
III. Other Situations
If there is an urgent need, please contact the ESTL business personnel and make an appointment for case processing by email two working days in advance. Without an appointment application, all urgent processing will not be carried out.
Note: UN38.3 has no expiration date. Only the versions are different. The air transportation certificate, sea transportation certificate, and MSDS report are valid for the natural year and cannot be used after December 31st, regardless of when the report is processed this year. Annual update is required.
