The Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) and the Federal Revenue Service jointly conducted "Operation Legal Product" between November 30 and December 1, targeting distribution centers of major e-commerce platforms including Shopee, Amazon, and Mercado Livre in Araguari (Paraná), Brasília (Federal District), and Franco da Rocha (São Paulo).
During this operation, 20,591 certified products were inspected, and 4,226 non-compliant products were seized. The confiscated items included battery chargers, wireless cameras, network equipment, transceivers, power banks, TV boxes, and smart watches.
To ensure product safety and quality in the Brazilian market, Anatel mandates compulsory certification for power banks and mobile phone batteries. Products without proper certification or with counterfeit certification marks are strictly prohibited from being sold in Brazil.
Important: Falsifying or affixing MINT LABEL to non-compliant products will result in severe penalties, including product recall, fines up to 500,000 Brazilian reais, and potential revocation of operating licenses.
